Trademark Rules of 2017 recognizes CS members as qualified Trademarks Agent

1. The recent Trademark Rules of 2017 that were notified by Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion under Rule 144 has allowed a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of India to be a registered Trademarks agent in order to encourage Intellectual Property Regime in India.

2.The earlier Trademark Rules of 2002 did not recognize the Company Secretaries to be qualified as a registered Trademarks Agent.
