NCLAT rules that Directors not barred to attend board meeting through video-conferencing

The NCLAT in Achintya Kumar Barua v. Ranjit Barthkur ([2018] 91 taxmann.com 123 (NCL-AT)) passed an order permitting director of company to attend board meeting through video-conferencing, that such a right of the director under Section 173(2) of Companies Act, 2013 could not be interfered on apprehension that it would not be possible to ensure that no person other than concerned director was attending said meeting.
